If you are searching for a child psychiatrist in Delhi, the honest answer first: we are not one. The short answer is both our Delhi centres, Vasant Kunj and Malviya Nagar, provide the psychological assessment and therapy, and we coordinate psychiatric consultation and medication management directly with our partner Sukoon across Delhi NCR, so you are not left to find a psychiatrist yourself.

Which of our Delhi centres you would use
We have two centres in Delhi, and which one you use is a question of geography rather than service, because the same pathway runs at both.
eMbrace Vasant Kunj, at C-7, Sector C, Pocket 5, Grand Vasant Kunj, is the larger team and serves south-west Delhi: Vasant Vihar, Munirka, R.K. Puram, Safdarjung Enclave, Anand Niketan, Shanti Niketan, Moti Bagh and Chanakyapuri.
eMbrace at Rainbow, Malviya Nagar, at FC-29, Plot No. 5, Geetanjali, beside Malviya Nagar Metro Station Gate No. 1, serves the Yellow Line corridor through Saket, Hauz Khas and Green Park, and the drive-in catchment of Greater Kailash and Defence Colony.
If you are in north or west Delhi, either centre is a real journey, and we would usually suggest starting online and coming in only for the parts that have to happen in a room.
Where a psychiatric opinion looks relevant, we coordinate the referral to Sukoon directly rather than leaving you to search for a provider, and with your consent we share the assessment and therapy notes that matter so the psychiatric opinion is informed by the same picture your therapist is working from.
For parking, the nearest drop-off point and the quickest route at your particular time of day, ask on the intake call.
How we work alongside psychiatric care
A diagnosis such as ADHD, anxiety, depression or OCD in a child or teen frequently has both a psychological side and a medical one, and families should not have to manage two unconnected files to get a coherent plan. That is the work we do.
- Psychological assessment and diagnosis for ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression and OCD
- Therapy for the child or teen, and support for the family around a diagnosis
- A coordinated referral to Sukoon across Delhi NCR where a psychiatric and medication opinion is relevant
- School liaison and accommodations support, whether or not medication is part of the plan
What each part involves is set out on our child psychiatry coordination page.
What we do, and what we do not
We carry out psychological assessment and deliver therapy, and build a written picture a psychiatrist can read alongside their own findings. We do not diagnose from a purely medical standpoint, prescribe or manage medication ourselves.
If a psychiatric opinion looks relevant and you have not yet had one, we will say so plainly rather than continuing a therapy programme around an unanswered medical question.
Who you would see
Dr Supriya Malik, Founder and CEO, and Head of the Child Development Centre at Rainbow
PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Birmingham, where she was also a postdoctoral researcher, and a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society in the UK. She designed the assessment and therapy pathways every eMbrace centre runs.
To be clear about what this page is: a child and adolescent psychiatrist is a doctor, and eMbrace is a psychology and therapy practice. We do not employ one. What we do is the psychological assessment and therapy, and the coordination with Sukoon when a medical and medication opinion is relevant. If it is a psychiatrist you need right away, say so on the intake call and we will tell you straight.
Fees and coordination
Fees are quoted upfront on your intake call and cover assessment and therapy. Psychiatric consultation and medication management through Sukoon is separate and not ours to quote.
With your consent we share what is relevant with the psychiatrist seeing your child, because a written picture is considerably more useful than a description of how the last few months have felt.
